100 miles for 100 years Project Coordinator

 

Screen South are offering an opportunity to be involved with a high profile Kent heritage project; 100 miles for 100 years; which draws on the rich local history relating to Kent in WW1 and provides a legacy for the First World War centenary.

 

The Heritage Lottery Fund funded ‘100 miles for 100 years’ project is looking for a Project Coordinator to assist with the development of 30 self guided heritage trails for delivery by January 2018. These trails will highlight the hidden history of the people, places and events in Kent during the First World War and encourage exploration and discovery.

 

We are a looking for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills, a passion for local heritage and working with local communities. You will need to be willing to learn and will receive effective support from the ‘100 miles for 100 years’ team.

 

This role is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop their project experience, is not frightened of tight deadlines and has an interest in history- especially the First World War. We will take a positive approach to opportunity and access. You will be self motivated, proactive and prepared to work some weekends and evenings. We are ideally looking for the Project Coordinator to be a driver with access to a car.

 

Based in Folkestone but travelling around Kent, this role is for 4 days a week on a pro rata salary of £17,000 which rises to £18,000 pro rata after a month’s probation and is fixed term to 31st January 2018. We are seeking to appoint someone who can start by mid September 2017 at the latest.
