Notes From A Landscape is a lyrical documentary exploring Romney Marsh landscape through winter in multiform media.
The film looks behind first impressions of this landscape – also known as the 6th continent – engaging the voice of Dennis Leeds George, a Romney Marsh farmer, revealing an ancient land, the loves and losses imprinted there, the constancy within the shifting moments in time.

Meet The Artist

Terry Hulf is an independent photographer, painter, filmmaker and musician who specialises in long term projects with a strong sense of people and place.
Hulf’s work takes you into the landscape. As a young man he worked the land; this experience, the stories, and depth of richness informs his work – he shows and is interested in what is there rather than arranging a picture.
In a study by Johanna Cruikshank entitled Romney Marsh: The reciprocity of a landscape and its artists: Paul Nash (artist), John Piper (artist), Fay Godwin (photographer), Terry Hulf (photographer), she quotes “of all the artists looked at in this study, Hulf if the closest to the land.”
