The Dreamers

The Dreamers

2025 • 4m • English With Subtitles • Shown In A Programme Rated 15

The Dreamers is an experimental film that draws on the imagery of the performance video, Trapped: Elizabeth and Leo, from the London Community Video Archive (LCVA), interwoven with original poetry, and mixed with transformed archival footage.

Drawing on concepts of radical imaginings and action, the film knits together ideas of personal and societal transformation. We arrive to meet a woman on the precipice of change.

Working entirely with archival footage, the piece exists as a collaboration between the works and themes in the LCVA collection and the artist today. It explores the living archive as a space where histories and story-making from the past come into conversation with the present.
