Singualrity at the 2021 Asia Digital Art Exhibition
The Asia Digital Art Exhibition brings together a total of 55 digital art works by over 60 artists (groups) and art teams from 7 countries. It centers around information technologies, AI, NFT and other cutting-edge topics, using popular media such as videos, games, VR, AR & interactive installations, etc. 'Singualrity', by New Creatives Alumni Jingjing Shen, was featured at the Exhibition. Philip 21 positions you as the viewer to challenge your preconceptions, and it grants you agency in your choices in a new online interactive short film. Philip 21 is a new feature from the halucid_ Theatre Company, written by Philip Ofe, directed by Adam Glen and produced by Molly Young, that pushes the boundaries of interactive video. New artwork reveals there's more to soil than meets the eye
Henry Driver's new immersive video journey, Secrets of Soil, was inspired by his family's attempts to make their farming practices carbon negative. He presents a visually striking view of the world beneath our feet and explores his thoughts around how it would be possible to better care for and preserve it. Read the full article here

The new Virtual Reality game recreating the experience of OCD
Ambitious new game Dichotomy aims to help players understand what it’s like to live with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Designer Cody Wren, who has OCD, has utilised Virtual Reality to create a fun but revealing look at this much misunderstood condition.

A Fenland Symphony is a musical composition intertwining interviews and music to tell a unique story of life in Cambridge.Produced and composed by Cambridge musician Chris Bradbury, the 11-minute work was recorded at Saltwell Studio near Huntingdon.

Film graduate selected for BBC New Creatives commission
Anita Pico, a recent MA Filmmaking graduate from the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) has been selected for a New Creatives commission, which was launched earlier this year by BBC Arts and Arts Council England, in partnership with Screen South.

Frazer gets his audio piece aired as part of new BBC project
Composed of three movements, Hidden Sounds of Coastal Arcades is based upon the architecture of Walton Pier, beginning in the bustling arcade, then moving into the cacophonous fairground and finishing above the water at the end of the pier itself.

BBC Arts and Arts Council England announce first New Creatives commissions
BBC and Arts Council England announce the first tranche of 76 innovative short films (up to five minutes) and audio works (up to 15 minutes) chosen as part of their talent development scheme, New Creatives.

GET ANIMATED!
We are excited to announce the next launch of New Creatives from the South East Region with GET ANIMATED: being broadcast this Sunday 26 April 2020 on BBC4 at 10:55pm, and available to watch after BBC iPlayer. It will include works from four of our New Creatives; Sian Fan, Chris Dunlevy, Jordan Buckner and Catriona Carswell, with dark, amusing and creative animated examinations of our world.

BBC & Screen South launch New Creatives
100 new and emerging artists across the South East will be commissioned to make fresh and innovative short films, audio and interactive works in a new talent development scheme being launched today by BBC Arts and Arts Council England.
