Screen South Launches Open Doors, Step-Up
Screen South launches an exciting and free scheme just for Folkestone town residents.
Open to anyone aged 16 and over and living in the Broadmead, Harbour, Central and East Folkestone ward, Open Doors – Step-Up is for anyone who is into all things digital.
Do you like making videos on your phone, enjoy gaming, are fascinated by AR/VR, or are you interested in sound?
Over the next couple of months there will be a number of free Discovery Days where Folkestone Town residents can come along to Screen South at The Glassworks and receive support and guidance to turn a hobby into a career.
We can also support any eligible resident who is starting a digital business with kit use, building a portfolio and being able to showcase their business at a free event.
To find out more come along to our free drop in event anytime between 11 and 7 on Friday 6 May, when visitors will have a chance to try virtual reality, have a go at a gaming programme and animation, and discover field recording and sound effects. The Open Doors – Step-Up team will also be on hand to offer practical next steps and more information about this opportunity.
