Screen South is inviting creatives to learn and implement the making of 360 video within an immersive project, to be showcased in February in Folkestone. The selected cohort will be given masterclasses and tutoring to get to grips with the technology before they use it to create an original immersive 360 production.
The theme for this showcase is ‘performance’ – this could be of your own work, or of another performer’s or group’s. This is your chance to explore documenting performances in a 360 space so that audiences feel like they’re seeing it right in front of them.
You’ll be trained by a team of filmmaking and 360 experts including Manuel Vason, Charlie Philips and Gavin Roberts as well as talks from local artists who specialise in 360 production, with a brilliant opportunity to learn from their creative process.
Your project should also be primarily shot within our Studio or other controlled space so that you can capture the performances as accurately as possible. You must provide your own hard drive for use on the course.
