This is the last call for the New Creatives scheme
Screen South is working with the BBC Arts and Arts Council England to deliver the New Creatives commission opportunity for South East regional talent as part of a new national programme.
For these audio commissions, we would like to hear from new young writers who are creating spoken word pieces. Proposals can be slam poetry, rap, spoken word or poetry etc. We want give new audiences fresh and exciting poems or spoken word pieces; perhaps provocative and searching or antidotes to today’s strange world, perhaps reflective and thoughtful considerations celebrating life. We are looking for pieces which give you a chance to air your thoughts and feelings, invoke discussion and reflection or give you a chance to shout about something that’s important to you. We are open to different styes comedic, joyous, thoughtful, surprising, or simply telling us how it is from your point of view
These audio pieces may be single artist driven or collaborations. Lead Creative writers must be aged between 16-30yrs We’re interested in receiving pieces that are around 5 minutes long.
